A hot shooting in Miami, Florida

Between New York and Miami

February 2017. I am in New York to meet some of the American couples of whom I took photos at their weddings in the previous year.
It’s a perfect occasion to meet them again and to have a nice evening together in an excellent Japanese restaurant, at only few steps from Times Square, and to peruse the pages of “Sophisticated Weddings”, a magazine published on the same day and showing some of my customers’ photos.
I remember that around 1 a.m. we said goodbye (soon after I had a flight to catch) and I also remember that the thermometer was indicating -11°C.
At 5 am I am already at JFK and after a three hours flight I finally landed in Florida, on Miami Airport, where the temperature reaches plus 27 degrees, more than enough to improve my mood (I admit that I have found it quite extraordinary this fluctuation of temperature from -11°C to plus 27°C in such a short time). I rent a car and head towards Miami where a young couple is waiting for me.
We have decided to meet in February to take some pictures before their wedding which they are organizing in New York for the end of the year: Yonder, a well-known baseball player (at least for those who follow baseball) and Amber, his gorgeous fiancée.
A beautiful harmony establishes immediately between us and it becomes stronger during breakfast.
They explain to me that, while they are waiting for their villa to be completed, they live in a beachfront penthouse, in the vaunted Miami Beach.
I take advantage to take some photos with my iPhone to document this wonderful view (and they kindly take some pictures of me too).

The photos

Soon after, we establish a small path for photographs starting from a beautiful botanical park where we decide to set up a picnic, to continue in a typical local restaurant where I was able to make a few portraits, to close with a small photo story at their house under construction.
I shoot under a burning sun. They are really happy and helpful, but the time goes by.
The afternoon flies by in a second and I have to go back to the airport for my next flight heading to Las Vegas ( but before leaving we say good bye and we fix our next meeting on 14 November, in New York).

Thank you Amber and Yonder,
